Ha! Nice one. In my upcoming book about the Western States 100 in describe in great detail my battle against the heat in the sierre nevada canyons (we‘re speaking 100 degree here). It’s possible to adapt to the heat in training if you’re preparing for a race like WSER or Badwater, but sauna protocols and heat runs will only take you so far. In the end it’s a tightrope act.
Do you have suggestions as to how to adjust workouts themselves, other than ofc dropping pace for effort?
